Nadine Hwang (1902 – 1972). The daughter of a Chinese diplomat and Belgian mother, she was born in Spain, moved to Paris and became one of the many lovers of Natalie Barney. She survived the Ravensbrück concentration camp, and after the war emigrated to Venezuela with her life partner, Nelly Mousset-Vos, an opera singer she had met when in captivity at Ravensbrück. Their story became the subject of the documentary Nelly & Nadine (2022).
