Mary Delaney, Sea Daffodil

Mary Delany (1700-1788). Gardener, artist (of paper cut depictions of flowers), advocate for alternatives to marriage for women. She began making her “paper-mosaiks” in her early 70s. They were created based off of specimens and notable for the way they capture light effects on the plants.
